Thankfully I too have a new venture - huzzah!</p> <p>As a freelancer, the straw that broke my back was that a few too many clients had come to rely on my input to make decisions about their business. When the phone rang there was a real danger of a 40 minute conversation that was a) difficult to charge for and b) destructive to the pre-call train of thought. </p> <p>In many cases I also felt personally responsible for the success of their online ventures and was thinking about their projects far too much off the clock.
