PostSecret

11·Mar·07

I love PostSecret. It doesn’t need mentioning just quite why it’s so pleasurable reading the secrets thousands of people mail in each week. Quite staggering that so many people do, but even more staggering the levels of sheer creativity, angst, joy… hell, just feelings that people can bring together on one small postcard. I love it.

I have no desire to mail in one of my own, mind – I couldn’t think of anything even approaching the kind of stuff folks post to the site. But reading other people’s is great!

Do yourself a favour: subscribe to the PostSecret RSS feed and get a fresh batch of guilty wonderment delivered to the newsreader of your choice, every Sunday.

I’m going to form a band

2·Mar·07

Apart from the fact that I’ve spent half my life in bands (though not for the last 5 years or so) I really want to start a band again. The one reason? I’ve got a great band name!

My 4 year old daughter was asking this morning for a ‘choc chip cookie‘, except that there was no way she could say it properly, kept coming out as ‘chip chop chuckie‘.

Chip Chop Chuckie! Fantastic.

Ladies and gentlemen. Please be upstanding for the one, the truly awesome, the one you’ve all been waiting for – Chip Chop Chuckie!!!

Woooo hooooooo!!! Yeaaaaahhhhhh!!” (crowd go generally wild, etc…)

Chip Chop Chuckie. Remember you heard it here first : )

Frank Pickles in the Vicar of DibleyNo, I’m not gay. But starting up this blog again reminds me of a classic scene from the sadly now defunct BBC comedy ‘The Vicar of Dibley’.
