Some excellent new features from Google Reader announced.

We’ve made it easier to share posts you like to Blogger, Twitter, Facebook, and more, with our new “Send to” feature.

Very very useful.

It’s terrible that Campaign Monitor were so badly hacked over the last few days, but their open, transparent response and communication with customers is nothing short of a masterclass in customer care.

I’ve used Campaign Monitor since 2004 and customer service has always been top drawer. Here’s hoping they get the problem sorted soon.

A good friend of mine has just launched a brand new blog called Rock Climbing UK.

No prizes for guessing what the blog’s about – duh.

I’m not much into rock climbing personally — on account of being absolutely terrified of heights — but so far I think he’s done a great job of putting it together. The blog is still in its infancy, but he’ll be writing reports on his own climbs, reviews of climbing books and equipment, and generally sharing his enthuisasm for all things climbing.

Joshua Peek officially joins 37signals which is great news.

Now the team is up to 15, however, it does seem contrary to their keeping it lean manifesto somewhat.

A friend of mine, Brandon, was telling me the other day how struck he was on learning of Michael Jackson’s death, just how many events in his life (important or trivial) featured Michael in some way. He’s set up a new website – Michael Jackson Memories – to document these memories, as well as hopefully encourage others to submit their memories too.

He’s keen to point out it’s not a ‘memorial’ site, not supposed to be a shrine or anything, just an experiment in those little human interest stories that we all share (like it or not), seeing as the man dominated pop culture for so long.
