A very good place to start

by Dave Foy on February 11, 2007

So I spend way too much time on the web. It’s my job as web developer guy. And although I happily build lovely websites for other people all day long I don’t have my own little playground.

I have my own business website but I frankly feel uncomfortable using it as a blank canvas, to see what happens. It would be quite wrong, and possibly a little disturbing for some of my more ‘delicate’ clients.

So I’m doing this, just for me (though I do think it’ll grow to be fun for others too). And why not?

Now, the most tiresome aspect of my personality (no need…) is that I usually just can’t do anything until it’s totally perfect, polished, ready.

So what I’m doing here is starting with a totally blank canvas from day one, and building this thing one tiny piece, one day at a time. Might be a piece of content; a new section of the site; a small stylesheet change. I’ll take a screenshot each day (most days Dave, most days…), post it up on Flickr, and display the RSS feed here too. There’ll be a nice photographic record, most likely with an audience of one. Ace.

Why ‘fuzzyness’? The opposite of Definition – wahey!!
